AiRemindr – Privacy Policy

AiRemindr (“the App”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is collected, used, and protected when you use the AiRemindr mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Voice Recordings (User-Initiated)

When you create a reminder using your voice, the App captures your audio and sends it securely to our server for transcription. We do not store the raw audio. Audio is processed temporarily only for transcription, then automatically deleted.

1.2 Transcribed Text

The transcribed reminder text (e.g., “Buy milk at 6 PM”) is stored securely on our server so the App can send notifications at the correct time. We do not use your reminders for analytics, training, advertising, or profiling.

1.3 Device Information (Minimal)

To operate push notifications, we store:

• A unique Expo Push Token

This token contains no personal information and is used solely for delivering notifications to your device.

1.4 No Sensitive or Hidden Data

We do not collect or access:

• Location data
• Contacts
• Photos or media
• Advertising identifiers
• Any tracking data

2. How We Use Your Information

Information is used strictly for:

• Processing your voice instructions into text
• Creating and managing reminders
• Sending scheduled push notifications

We do not sell, share, rent, or trade your data with third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

3.1 Audio

Audio is transmitted securely using HTTPS, processed, and deleted immediately.

3.2 Reminders

Your reminders remain stored in our secure database until you delete them from the app.

3.3 Push Tokens

Expo Push Tokens are stored securely and only used to send notifications to your device.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information.

4. Third-Party Services

AiRemindr uses the following services:

• OpenAI (or equivalent AI service) – for transcription
• Expo Push Notification Service – for handling notifications
• Our Laravel backend – for storing reminders and processing schedules

These providers do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

5. Children’s Privacy

AiRemindr is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your Rights

You may request:

• Deletion of your reminders
• Deletion of your Expo Push Token
• Information on what data we currently store

7. Data Retention

• Audio: Stored for playback and deleted once a reminder is removed by yourself
• Reminders: Stored until you delete them
• Expo Push Token: Stored until you uninstall the app or reset notifications

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be made available within the App or on our website.
